Castle Hill Open Day

Saturday 21st July 12 noon to 5pm in the Castle Hill area of Cambridge

Lots of history talks and walks, archaeology and hidden history to see!

Come and explore one of the oldest and most vibrant areas of Cambridge as venues on Castle Hill open their doors for the day.

Historians, local experts, artist, musicians and dancers will come together to provide a variety of free, drop-in events for all ages.  Pack a picnic or visit the pop up food stalls and make a day of it, whatever the weather!

There is lots on at the main venues with making studios in Kettle’s Yard, an exhibition and refreshments and dancing at St Giles’s inside and outside, talks and trails and crafts for families at the Museum of Cambridge, and then up the hill there is are fascinating archaeological pop up tents by the Castle Mound where you can handle Roman objects found on site, visit the archives at Shire Hall, and even go around the hidden nuclear bunker!
